The Finnish security technology company, Hedengren Security, has launched the next-generation access control system, Hedengren Access Management, which offers the highest level of security in the industry and the most agile integration and scalability features on the market.
The end-to-end protected system, which can scale indefinitely – even to the world's largest sites – is suitable for commercial and public sector operators as well as critical infrastructure organisations. The open system integrates smoothly with third-party applications and currently offers connectivity to up to 130 different applications.
Hedengren Access Management also makes extensive use of the latest technology. It supports numerous high-level identification technologies, such as biometric recognition, and can be accessed using next-generation readers, such as electromechanical and digital keys.
"We wanted to bring an open and continuously evolving system to a market dominated by closed ecosystems, allowing customers to have individual and manufacturer-independent integrations without compromising security. In addition to security, Hedengren Security also strongly focuses on the ease of use of the systems it manufactures and resells. The ease of use of Hedengren Access Management is derived from the scalability brought by modularity and a clear user interface.
"The system's features are designed to meet the needs of constantly changing multi-site and multi-user environments. It can easily manage both a single site and a global property portfolio. In practice, the browser-based and customisable user interface allows the entire dynamic security environment – including keys, locks, access rights, users, properties, and various ancillary systems – to be combined into one easily manageable entity," explains Mikko Harjunen, Technical Product Manager at Hedengren Security.
Hedengren Access Management is manufactured in Europe and is backed by two expert organisations. The system platform has been developed by the Belgian company Synguard, which has been specialising in the manufacture of access control systems and high-level technology solutions for over 25 years. In the Nordic countries, the licensed representative, system integration developer, and technical support provider is the experienced Finnish security company Hedengren Security.
The new system will be sold alongside the Hedsam system. An interface is being developed to allow Hedsam users to easily transition to the modern platform when the change is timely for the customer. The interface will be completed in autumn 2025.
